A good plan or - very lucky again!
The photo is the best I took over the mountain....
I Received notification of a storm in the lowlands and snow in the mountains yesterday. I followed the inspiration from the Explorer Amundsen, who used dogs and the airship Norway (1926), Scott with horses to the South Pole, and Ousland with kite ... - and took
conversation with the guys in the square in Bodrum. Quick report on extremely bad weather, and did not hook the bike on dogs or horse, but on a bus.
Storm and rain throwing into the palms and dogs, before the trip went up a thousand feet. The mountains to topple over to Antalya on the other side.
It quickly became too snow for Turkish summer tires. I got slightly higher heart rate when the back was sliding to the right, while it is 100 feet straight down - as I stare - down - right ....
It went well and on top there were some guys that are there for every winter storm. The one with tractor and to get cars on the road again. The others selling tyre chains .... And I came up in the census of 40 cars which was out of the road and with the face in the snow, and on the other side of the mountain Uncle Police stopped anyone who would up and over where we came from.
Summary after only 14 hours in the bus:
1. It had not gone with the cycle
2. Very good coffee, biscuits, and service on Turkish buses!!
3. No matter where you are in the world the Norwegian Mountain rules are good! (but it was too late to turn back ..)
4. Lovely to seethe sea on the other side right now
and yes! you want to learn the Norwegian Mountain Rules:
