Wadi Halfa and Ahmed Ibrahim

In Sudan! and this is the first of many super-Sudanesere I have met. It is Ahmed Ibrahim. I startet off very humbled. Got stamps and forms. Everything checked by the customs authorities.
Straight outside in the swarm and crowd. Many are headed south. Same way as me; Karthoum. Up to ten men on the truck, all cargo on the roof and we are carried over 1,000 meters of sand into Wadi Halfa. I'am very thirsty, and suddenly I have water and the world's best grilled sheep with dip and thin baked bread. straight over to search for a place to sleep. Found a super place , and share it with four men. Good aircondition through short doors and the mosquito netting. Price for bed per night; 2 Euro.

Now I sit with "Ahmed Ibrahim" about 58 years, precisely calculated with 6 children and one wife. Are allowed to have four wives. I wonder if it can be a bit noisy when everyone is in a bad mood, but Ahmed smiles and says "boldhead - that goes okay, but I have only one"

Mr Ibrahim is a fisherman and will be honored next time I find internett. Ahmed is fully in control of history and culture and I will share all the exciting stories round the campfire, in the next 42 years.

Ibrahim begins talking about President Al-Bashir is a superior good president who wins the election this year (quote) and slipping elegantly into history with the question:

"Do you want me to tell you about the man from Europe - on a motorbike - that was eaten by monkeys here?"

Is that true? I say and prepare the brain. It's not every day you get to hear monkeystories ... .. I have told about our polar bears on Svalbard, which takes a tourist to lunch now and then, and now I will hear even bigger stories.

Thats in a new blogg. ... ..
