Going out in 44 degrees and admit that my body is not not totally climatisied for Sudan yet. I nice body wash is in minutes replaced with sweat running and the mind is actually wandering to shoveling of Noreegian snow, skiies over the mountains and cold breeze from the North Sea. Also had another thought; après ski in the Barn ..

But I have new Sudanese friends, good coffee from the south, the fruit from the east and Saoud from Darfur in the west. I also have new mates in Karthoum. The people that helps and share with bold men from the north. They are shouting. They have newspapers.

Norwegian on the first page of the largest newspaper in Khartum. The man is super pretty, wrinkle-free, a model subject, and if it this does not match completely your computer screen....-) Then I can tell you that one thing is the truth. This project works. 

Expedition - meetings football - makes attention. The first club in Sudan is with some hundred thousand fans are reading the newspaper because the guys won against St George of Ethiopia. Hundred thousand reads that Europe brings together football shirts and everything from Glossop and FC Zenith to  FC Barcelona and Liverpool FC have donated a signed shirt. One trip. One symbol. It makes attention for the Refugee Agency.

The football family and most of all supporters have donated jerseys and it grows. Sudan has refugee camps in west, east and south. I can probably say that I am in the center and here I'll visits camps in a few days with the www.unhcr.org. There we meet them- and those who do not want to, but must flee. Houses, property, friends, family, - most are gone.
