10 amazing things (that you forget)

You do not think about it. You are spoiled. I am also, but now I have a reminder note after a long trip under strange skies. It is absolutely superb stuff with Norway (or your place). The things that are right in front of that nose that you do not think about until you're suddenly is sitting a little sweaty in Ethiopia, Sudan, and Botswana. Or have a Turkish big dog that runs after you. It is the thing that I worshiped and served exactly at 12 yesterday. I lay with my pretty nose in the air and relaxed next to that mossy (image) on Sevelakes/Sjusøen. Here are ten things to reflect on if you are anywhere in Norway:

1. You will be stung by mosquitoes, but it does nothing (not! Malaria here, and if it begins to itch it means only the glorious fact that you are alive. (Or have feeling whir your skin)
2. The most dangerous snake here is called "Huggorm"  and the poison is only slightly stronger than wasp stings
3. There are quite a lot of cool creatures in Norway, but no scorpions, infested "biters" or parasites that take residence in your body (yes, I know of ticks, but you brush it off if you have bad luck ..;-)
4. You can drink water from streams and rivers and it tastes super good
5. You will not be robbed by those who pass by your path. All have actually rucksack with food and coffee and are very nice.
6. The air is clean. Not down the E18 past Oslo on a Friday at four, but if you put speed on your boots and get up or out there is plenty of oxygen. Often mixed with the smell of pine, birch, moss, and wild strawberries.
7. IF something happens then you call 112 and get help, or some (of many) organizations put out lots of people with dogs to search.
8. There is green everywhere. Shrubs, trees, and flowers. They are designed to grow so that it is possible to go there. Tanzania beats Norway for the green, but it's thick as a jungle. It is  the jungle ... and lots of crawling things from point 1, 2 and 3
9. Balanced people the whole way. It is not 2 - 5 - 15 or 20 years since the last Civil War or 2 weeks ago that Lord's Resistance Aarmy ravaged village in Norway.
10. We have oceans, lakes, streams and rivers. None of sharks, crocodiles and snakes. Anything can be used and fished in (Besides salmon in the Alta river up north that cost Bill Gates mounthly salary to fish ..;-)
